Michael Brinzer is a multi-woodwind instrumentalist based in New York City. As a Long Island native, Michael began refining his musical talents at an early age. He currently owns and performs on an array of instruments, including flutes, clarinets, saxophones as well as ethnic instruments. He enjoys playing many genres of music, from classical to jazz to musical theater to contemporary. He has performed with many distinguished artists, including Dave Leibman, Jim McNeely, Jane Monheit, Betsy Struxness, Charles Neidich, Paul Cohen and many more. In addition to performing, Michael is also a published arranger, a composer, and a teacher. His arrangements and compositions have been premiered at prestigious conservatories and universities including the Manhattan School of Music, Rutgers University, and Queens College. He is currently completing a Bachelors in Saxophone Performance at Manhattan School of Music with Dr. Paul Cohen. In his spare time, Michael enjoys going to art galleries, watching a good TV series, and spending time with friends and family.
